The complete walkthrough for Arc The Lad. This will include a standard guide for the main game and the sidequests.
Chapter 1: Seirya[]
Arc's House[]
After watching the introduction, and getting the armor from the chest, peek into one of the pots to find an Herb. After this go in the living room and search the stove with X to get Stone x4. Go at the mirror and search with X 25 times to obtain a Magic Card. After this you have the choice of two sets of items. Speak to your mother right away and you'll obtain a Kaiser Glove, Revival Tonic, Energy Fruit, and Sacred Water x2. Should you try to leave 12 times, she'll give you the Gale Bandana instead. Head out and watch the scenes.
Guardian Peak[]
Enemy: Green Slime x5
A battle against five Green Slimes. Not hard but don't be hasty. Equip the Kaiser Glove for improved Throw and open a nearby treasure chest for another Energy Fruit. A Green Slime will reward you with a Revival Tonic. Watch the scenes that follow.
Arc's House[]
The first ten times you revisit this place, you will receive an Herb. From revisit #11 to #20, you will receive nothing, revisit a 21st time to receive the final prize, a Power Nut, Palo Nut and Life Nut. Head to Palencia and watch the scenes that follow.
Colbo Plain[]
Enemy: Green Slime x3, Zombie x3, Ghost x3, Elemental x1
Try to split the enemies evenly between Arc and Poco. Poco can deal with the weaker ones, while Arc can deal with the stronger ones as he's likely Lv3 from the first battle. A Ghost will reward you with a Power Apple and a Green Slime will reward you with a Palo Nut. Give the Power Apple to whomever has the lowest level and continue back to Palencia.
Palencia Castle[]
Enemy: Green Slime x3, Ghost x3, Evil Bonze x1, Witch Doctor x1
Give Kukuru a good chance to level herself up to the rest of the party. Once she's good enough, leave the stronger enemies to Arc, with Kukuru and Poco on the side for healing through Herbs. Drops are: a Magic Sprig from a Green Slime, an Energy Fruit from a Ghost, Jump Boots from the Evil Bonze, and a Magic Card from the Witch Doctor. Equip the Boots and Card on whomever you like as they increase Jump and Magic respectively. Watch the scenes after and head to Millmana.
Chapter 2: Millmana[]
Grinding Break at Nicarus Forest[]
Enemy: Skeleton x4, Witch Doctor x2, Evil Bonze x2
Despite what that title may imply, just one battle should do. Make sure to focus on Poco and Kukuru who are likely weaker. Either way, make sure everyone is around level 10. Skeletons are pretty durable so they're good punching bags to get EXP from as you get EXP from actions and not just by defeating enemies.
Ruvag Woods[]
Enemy: Warlord x2, Wraith x4, Bloodweed x2
Warlords are the easiest enemy here, Wraiths should be alright if you're levelled up properly, but save the Bloodweeds for a team up attack. They're not going anywhere, if they multiply they're also pretty good for EXP. There's a treasure chest with a Small Bomb here.
Sembara Marsh[]
Enemy: Warlord x4, Mighty Fly x3
Mighty Flies are especially tough, don't be surprised if you lose one unit to them. Approach with caution. A chest contains Sacred Water.
Toyoke Forest[]
Enemy: Mighty Fly x2, Wraith x3, Bloodweed x2, Ninja x2
Due to the constricting pathways, you can play more relaxed as the only enemies that can reach you are the Mighty Flies which should probably not be a problem since the last battle. Bloodweeds can be abused for EXP especially with the slow pace of this battle likely resulting in a large infestation. Ninjas are hard to defeat but getting one of them results in the Hit Scroll which improves Attack success rate. One of the Mighty Flies gives a Revival Tonic. Watch the scenes that follow to get a Hero Crest then return. You'll get a Cure All from the Forest Spirit.
Chapter 3: Return to Seirya[]
Palencia Castle Warehouse[]
Enemy: Ninja x3, Ghoul x3, Doll Master x2
Save the Doll Masters for Arc and Tosh as they're likely the strongest here. Ghouls can paralyze so be wary. A Ninja will drop a Senior Bandana and a Doll Master drops a Fiend Statue.
Touvil[]
After watching the scenes, search the upper right of Arc's destroyed house to find the first Romancing Stone. Head to the Ancient Monolith.
Illusion World[]
Enemy: Illusion Flame x4, Illusion Lord x1
The first difficulty spike of the game. After the wake up attack, heal up with Poco and/or Kukuru and focus on the Flames first. Once they're done, head to the Illusion Lord. Keep one member at healing duty, with an occasional assistance from the other non-Arc member. Battle Drum and Speed Ocarina help tremendously. As a reward, you'll recieve the Armor Stone.
Ancient Monolith[]
Watch the scenes to receive the third Romancing Stone (second in order). You can return later to collect Stone x3 from around the monolith.
Palencia Castle[]
Poco will obtain his Wild Lion Drum here. Head to Alatos and Tosh will soon follow.
Chapter 4: Alatos[]
Chongara's Shop[]
Watch the scenes here then head for the Forbidden Ruins.
Forbidden Ruins[]
B1F[]
Enemy: Warlord x3
Simple battle. Get the treasure in the center for a Herb and a one-time Revival Tonic.
B2F[]
Enemy: Werewolf x4
Create a blockade with the strongest fighters and hack at them with caution. Two treasure chests contain a Speed Satchel and Big Bomb.
B3F[]
Enemy: Werewolf x2, Voodoo Man x2
Again focus on strongest fighters and long range folk on the wolves, then the weakest ones can go for the Voodoo Men. Treasure chest contains Skill Bracelet.
B4F[]
Enemy: Voodoo Man x2, Demi Monk x2
An optional but also easy as heck battle. Even with silence, it goes away between levels so just give them hell. Treasure chests have a Stone, Insomnia Card and an Atrophy Ball.
B5F[]
Enemy: Demi Monk x4, Blood Knight x4
The final mandatory floor. Same as B2F, Tosh and Arc on front, Gogen on back with spells and Kukuru and Poco on healing and buffing duty. Also a good grinding place should you need it. Treasure chests contain the Summon Pot (far left), Paralysis Apple and a Small Bomb.
